Helmikuun helmihetket alppilandiassa

Period : 12-25 February
Occasion: Winter holidays
Destination: Courchevel 1850, 3 valleys in French Alpes, Savoie, France

Who was there and what happened ?
Some of it will be revealed in previous pictures and short stories, some editing is gonna heppen to this one too maybe later, but now, lets get to the business...

How amazing can be the view from the livingroom window ?

Well, this awesome !

Quite something, don't you think!?!

Yeah, 2 weeks is a long time,
so there has to be also some snow coming, otherwise the slopes wouldn't be perfect all the time!

So, there we were, me and Vilma, and of course the families.
How did we spent our time, besides wondering the great huge mountains and checking the views ?
Working of course a bit at the same, but mostly enjoying being there!

"Sunbathing", taking little walks, sledge sliding, going to some happenings such like Gulli-the tv-channel's happening for kids (yeah, even adults can play a little) and cooking suuuuuuuuuuch good stuff once in a while...

We saw fireworks 2 times during these two weeks, and the first time we saw it, it was more like an welcome-to-courchevel-introducing-the-skiing-school- thing, and at the another time, it was one show belonging to championships of fireworks, Festival International D'Art Pyrotechnique, and this time it was Italy's (FABA's) turn to show their talent, what totally amazed all the people seeing and hearing it!

And how nice it was when in the fireworks show they played also a song which reminded me of many times with some exchange students and our musical gatherings almost a year ago..

Besides the fireworks, there was the biggest skiing school I've ever seen, see all the torchfires in the lowest picture? That's the teachers.

What else.. Did we go skiing ?
Oh, yeah! It was so awesome!
First we went to practice a littlebit Vilmas skills in this, and she did so great! Though the weather was not quite perfect to say,,,

And the next day, when we went further and a bit more harder pistes, the weather was on our side, PRETTY AWESOME DAY!
The smiles on our faces might slightly show that we really enjoyed there!

Amaaazing!

Somewhere in the left of this picture, is the highest mountain in Europe, Mont Blanc.

Rolling the mountain down might not be a good idea.

Those small dots in there, they're not ants, they're people some hundred meters below...

Even the shopaholics will feel comfortable in Courchevel, just stop by at Chanel if you just realize in the middle of skiing that you actually lacked the latest bag! It's just at the slope so you don't even need to go far from the sports even!

Apres ski ?
Hum, actually, a bit harder to do than say, especially when it's the holiday of the kids. But, we still had so much of fun, despite the serious looks sometimes.

This is how to keep warm at a buss stop.
Thank you, swedish gym club!

I'm sure that I'll still do some editing to this text, and also something in finnish too, but this is this for now.
Hoppas att ni tycker!

Bisous!
Palellaan!

  2. Kiitos Aija! Noita kuvia on tosi paljon!
